Terms of Use
These Terms govern your access to and use of the FibreTempo mobile application, website and related services.
1. About FibreTempo
FibreTempo is operated by The UGC Playbook LTD, company number 16626561, registered at 3rd Floor, 86–90 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom (“we”, “us”, “our”). FibreTempo provides fibre-tracking, food-discovery and habit-building tools.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use FibreTempo. If local law requires a higher age for consent to digital services, that higher age applies. If you are under the age of legal majority, you should use FibreTempo only with permission from a parent or guardian.
3. Licence and store terms
FibreTempo is licensed, not sold, for your personal, non-commercial use. Your licence is limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable, subject to these Terms.
If you download FibreTempo through Apple, Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement also applies. If you download through Google Play, the Google Play Terms of Service and applicable Google Play policies also apply. Where platform terms must legally take priority, they do so.
4. Accounts and security
If FibreTempo offers account creation or sign-in, you are responsible for keeping your account and device secure and for providing accurate information. Tell us promptly if you believe your account or access credentials have been compromised.
5. Purpose and educational limits
FibreTempo provides general educational information and tools to support awareness of dietary fibre and food variety. FibreTempo is not a medical device and does not provide medical diagnosis, treatment, nutritional therapy or personalised clinical advice.
Do not rely on FibreTempo as a substitute for advice from a doctor, registered dietitian or other qualified professional. Seek professional advice before making significant dietary changes if you have persistent digestive symptoms, a diagnosed condition, a history of disordered eating, allergies requiring clinical management, or a prescribed diet.
6. Food values and personalised ranges
Fibre values, serving estimates, progress figures and suggested ranges are approximate. Actual values can vary by variety, brand, preparation, portion and data source. A personalised opening range is a habit-building aid based on the information you enter; it is not a clinical recommendation.
7. Subscriptions, trials and billing
FibreTempo may offer auto-renewing monthly and annual subscriptions. The exact price, currency, billing period, trial eligibility and taxes shown by Apple App Store or Google Play at purchase are the final terms for that transaction.
- The annual plan may include a three-day free trial for eligible new subscribers.
- Unless cancelled before the trial or billing period ends, the subscription automatically renews at the price displayed by your store.
- Payment is charged to the store account used to confirm the purchase.
- We do not receive your full payment-card details.
- Promotional prices, trial eligibility and regional prices may differ.
8. Cancellation, refunds and restoration
You can manage or cancel a subscription through the store account used to subscribe. To avoid the next renewal, cancel before the renewal date shown in your store settings. Apple may require cancellation at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies and applicable consumer law. We cannot directly issue refunds for transactions processed by an app store. Where available, use Restore Purchases while signed into the same store account used for the original purchase.
9. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use FibreTempo for unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purposes;
- attempt to reverse engineer, decompile or extract source code except where law expressly permits;
- interfere with the app, servers, security or other users;
- use automated systems to scrape, overload or misuse the service;
- copy, resell or commercially exploit FibreTempo or its content without permission;
- upload malicious code or attempt unauthorised access.
10. Intellectual property
FibreTempo, its branding, interface, illustrations, text, software, databases and original content are owned by or licensed to The UGC Playbook LTD and protected by intellectual-property law. Third-party names and content remain the property of their respective owners.
11. Availability and changes
We may update, improve, suspend or discontinue features to maintain security, comply with law, improve performance or develop the service. We do not guarantee that every feature will be available on every platform, device, country or app version.
12. Third-party services
FibreTempo may rely on platform services such as Apple, Google, sign-in providers, cloud backup or sync, notifications, analytics, crash reporting and hosting. Your use of those services may also be governed by their terms and privacy policies.
13. Warranties and consumer rights
FibreTempo is provided on an “as available” basis. We take reasonable care in providing the service but do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free or suitable for every personal circumstance.
Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law.
14. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, loss of profits or loss arising from reliance on general educational information. Our total liability relating to FibreTempo will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid for FibreTempo in the preceding 12 months or the minimum amount required by applicable law.
Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot legally be limited.
15. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address a material breach, unlawful use, security risk, fraud, non-payment or legal requirement. You may stop using FibreTempo at any time; deleting the app does not automatically cancel an active subscription.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Courts in England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim in another jurisdiction.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when the service, law or platform requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required. Continued use after an update means the revised Terms apply from their effective date.
